Hi, I'm Dolly!
Welcome to Raven Ocean Portraits. I am a fine art portraiture artist based in Western Washington. I combine my love of natural light photography with capturing families at every stage of their journey through life together to create imagery you’ll want to display.
As a mother of two young children (my kids are 4 and 3!), I know that raising a family is both magical and messy. I know how difficult it is to get photos of all of you together that make you stop, stare, and smile. I know how rare it is to get dressed up and to feel beautiful. I know love and loss and everything in between.
My goal with my photography business is for my clients to feel the magic of the stage of life they’re in. Whether I capture a dreamy, golden light photo of your daughter twirling in a field, a new headshot to celebrate the launch of your business, or you holding your grandmother’s hand at the end of her life, I go into each session with a vision and a heart full of gratitude. I am so grateful to every client who has trusted me to capture their lives.
To help us get to know each other a little better, here are a few fun facts about me:
- I LOVE cooking, I think one day I would really like to have a food blog focused on recipes inspired by my childhood—maybe when my kiddos are older, haha!
- I met my husband online, we dated long distance, and we finally met IRL at the airport the day we flew to Seattle together! We've been married 5 years-- I'm nothing if not a risk taker
- I am such a klutz, I get hurt at almost every session because I get too focused on my clients and forget about my surroundings. It makes for some funny outtakes, though, and kids love it!
